Indonesian Chicken Rice Porridge served with cakwe*

For many families in Asia including in Indonesia, a typical day begins with a bowl of rice porridge. Although rice porridge comes from humble beginnings, today it is served with a variety of exotic toppings. Here in Indonesia, we call this as Bubur Ayam (bubur=porridge; Ayam= chicken).

*cakwe = Chinese long donut, available in Asian/ Chinese Store or you may make your own cakwe. :-)
